strip oil pan

    my oil pan hole where the bolt goes is stripped what am i suppose to do? I want to fix it without taking the engine out of the car.

    Go to your local auto parts store and ask for an oversize oil plug. It has the same thread pitch as yours, but oversize thread diam. Should be able to fix your problem.

    If that doesnt' work, you can change the pan without removing the engine. Just put a block of wood on a jack, remove the motor mount bolts and raise the engine up by jacking up the balancer. That's just the way us good 'ole boys do it.
