I had to install and remove my intake twice. Every time I installed it found another crack at temp sending unit.
I found another intake and wouldn't you know it one bolt hole stripped out. Rather the risk stripping more holes and putting Helicoils in. I tapped it out to 10mm x 1.5(purists will probably give me a hard time). 10mm is about 2 thousands of an inch bigger and 1.5 pitch is almost the same as NC. Anyway it torqued down to 25ft/lbs. It's a 20 foot cruiser, so I'll drive it and have fun.

    Nope. No hate.
It's only new/original once. First time anyone touched it an makes a change, it ain't "original" any longer.

You drive it, you enjoy it. It's yours.

    All good!
I am constantly baffled by some folks who agonize over getting the old bolt out in a way to get back to stock size with a heil coil when you many times can just tap for a metric bolt with what you need to drill out for a heil coil.

plus it’s far cheaper to just buy a metric tap then the whole kit to go back to stock.
