Ok, it's not a Buick, but maybe similar to a LeSabre:Do No: My Dad and I are in the process of resurecting a 1968 Chevrolet Impala 4 door hardtop. It has not been licensed since 1975, and has sat most of that time in an old garage with a leaky roof, so it was in a dry area in Colorado, but a moist environment. The back doors were in the locked positition and have rusted stuck that way. We were able to unbolt the door hinges and gain enough clearance to get the door panels off. We have soaked the mechanisms with liquid wrench penetrating oil. I believe I have the passenger side in the unlocked position, but it is just not letting go of the striker. The driver side is not quite in the unlock position as I have bent the lock knob lever. One can get at the end of the striker and insert an allen socket, but I chewed up the passenger side one trying to remove the striker. Need a u-joint extention or something so the socket seats all the way and straight. Any way, wondering if anybody has any other ideas to try? We are stumped:confused: We have gotten everything else working on the car, and as soon as the new radiator is in we can drive the thing. I real good cleaning and buffing and it will be half decent car.
