At some point when my Wildcat comes home from the body shop, I am going to put AC on it from my project car. I tested the STV, and the piston is fine, but the vacuum diaphragm will no longer hold a vacuum. I am looking for an NOS diaphragm, a rebuild kit, and am open to any suggestions. Here is a picture of what I need. Note it is not the whole STV, just the diaphragm.
Well, after a ton of searching, I found a source. www.thepartguy.com has a few originals he is selling for $75 each, plus shipping. Just so others know that research this, there is not a rebuild kit sold for this diapragm, and it appears that if the rubber is shot, there is no longer a seal in your A/C system, and Freon leaves readily. So it is either the $75 diapragm, or paying around $90 for the kit that elimates the STV by removing the piston, installing a block-off-plate, and making it clutch-cycling.
