Can one of these things handle 600+ ftlbs at relatively low rpm assuming there is good traction? Thanks.
:idea2: If your worried about parts breakage :idea2: don't go with a manual trans..... espeicially with high traction tires.... something is going to give uzzled: :3gears: KABOOM
Hey Guys, Super T-10 with nodular iron case, mid-plate, high nickel gears and 2.43 or 2.64 1st will take some abuse, but 600 lb. ft. is really pushing it. Wes
Well, at least not your average "high performance" manual transmission that came stock in the car. There are other manual transmissions that can survive the abuse. And I suppose this means automatic transmissions never break. uzzled:
LOL..... automatic trans never break....C'MON... he's not talking stock.... he talking about 660 ftlbs in front on a manual trans:moonu: uzzled: :idea2: I hope you guys have blow shields to keep your feet from getting sawed off ou:
It probably would be. But unfortunatley the way life goes (raisng kids and all), the Super T-10 was all I could afford.
A rock crusher still has the same poorly cast aluminum case as the M21 and M20. It'll split from stretch too, perhaps not as soon with less helical cut gears, but it will eventually.
