I have a question......My 1968 Skylark custom, came with a 2 spd tranny, I assumed it was a powerglide, my buddy said it was a super turbine 200,are the 2 trannys the same? . I thought about just doing rebuild on what i have, and putting shift kit or valve body in tranny. Am i wasting my time? I'm also curious as to what my stock rear gear could be? manual everything, stock no AC car, 350/2bbl/2 spd. Thanks guys! :beer

Rear ratios for 1968 (from another post): They were 2.56, 2.73, 2.93, 3.23. 3.42, 3.64........4.78 Most likely, your car has the 2.56 or 2.73 gears.
