I think i am in need of a core support. mines a little rusted out and i have the repair kit but it goes further in than that. (it cant be saved) anyway i need a core support for a 70 gs. has to be a 70 cause of date code reasons nothing else please. if it has a small amount of rust thats fine i can put in the patch panel for it i dont mind doing some work to it. thank you. ill be headed to topeka,ks next week or so from quincy,IL
besides numbers on the support and the thing on the headlight (info from buickperformance) is there any difference between a 1970 and 1971-72??
I think you got it: Headlight Bucket Bumps Instead of headlight bushings and dated SAE70 should be all you need. Good luck on this one, Big ticket item,...... a little rusty or not.
It's metal...maybe it can "be saved"....talk to Mike Garrison before shelling out big $ for another support.
I have a great 70 on my 71. Gave the 71 to a friend. If you can't find a 70 from anyone else, I'll give up mine for a perfect 71 or 72 and some coin. I won't be able to remove it from the car until September though. Up to you. Bryan

I talked to a guy that lives about 20 miles away and he thinks he has a 70 in the garage he'd sell. dont know if i'll buy it yet havent looked at it. probably geta chance to see it on Friday or something. thank you guys
