    Hi.

Is it really extreme hard to take off a HT roof and weld on a convertible top instead? Everyone says that the top are so sensitive injured
I want to swap between to cars, instead of swap all fenders and floor and so on
-Some say that there are some differences on the front window shape between the models, so I guess I have to swap the front window metal-curve also
    (electras)

    Thanks!

I would think the body structure is so different, that you would be running into more problems than if you had just swapped the other sheet metal onto the good chassis. Convertibles have different bracing in their bodies and frames to keep the body ridgid, due to the lack of a roof.

If you were to swap the tops, then you would have to swap the frame, too, because that is a VERY important part of a convertible's structure. The HT and convertible frames are different.

Well swapping frames doesnt sound all too difficult
But sure, perhaps safest to swap every else parts instead arr, a lot of work..

One of the two holdings for my convertible have rusted off, from me right, inside fender..
Is it just to force it back so it looks good (and weld), lol, or will I probably get a lot of adjusting problem?

    Best regards.

Welding on a convertible top? Umm, wouldn't that defeat the purpose? LOL
Seriously, though, I think the rear quarters are different. You'd have some fabrication to make it fit. The windshield might be at a different angle as well (I don't know, but that's what I've heard). Sounds like too much of a hassle.
