I'm building a 65 Skylark. I have a 2 speed sp tranny behind a v-6 currently. I have found and will probably use a 425 nailhead. My Q is which tranny to use. I have the 2 speed now. I can get a 3 speed with the engine. Is there any real advantage in streetability to the 3 speed? Will it produce better economy? Better performance? Educate me if you will.
    Thanks,

Well I may be wrong ( I doubt it ) BUT the ST300 ( 2 speed ) will NOT fit behind the 425 ( round bellhousing ) so you really have no choice in this matter :eek2: The ST300 will fit behind V6,300,350,400,430,455 with no troubles at all if you look at my list of cars I think you will see I have done a few of these :TU:

    just my .02 worth
