switch pitch switch for your console, Made up one of these about 8 years ago for my gs now i need one for my wagon so i took some pics for u folks .I use a momentary starter switch a drum brake hose bracket and a piece of thick sheet metal .this set up gives me high stall when the car is in first gear .I also wire it into the brake switch for high stall at stop lights.

    this is what i used

That's pretty neat Dave! Nice job! Of course you do have to shift the car yourself for it to work. I've had the Poston timer box for years. I've never seen anyone else even mention it. It's pricey, but it works like a charm. Only 4 connections, 12 volts, ground, brake switch, and transmission. It has an adjustable timer(0-11 seconds) When your foot is on the brake, the converter is in high stall. Take your foot off the brake, and the timer counts down to 0, and the converter goes to low stall. I usually set it for 3-4 seconds at the track, that way it shuts the converter off at the top of 1st gear or so. It also features full manual control.
