hi, i've got a 2 speed switch pitch trans. when i bought the car the switch pitch and kickdown weren't connected, so i've just recently hooked them up. haven't really tried testing if the kickdown is functioning, i was more interested in the switch pitch. my problem is that i definitely lose power at WOT with the switch pitch connected. not sure what could be causing that. any suggestions?

Sounds like your trans is staying in high stall all the time. Check for voltage at the connector at the trans as you move the throttle switch through its travel. Voltage at the switch puts the trans in high stall. If you always have 12v, there is your problem.
