Are you asking about using the two speed ST300 transmission behind your 455 (I wouldn't) or just the variable pitch torque converter? If the latter, you just need a variable pitch '65-'67 ST400 trans or a TH400 that's been converted to variable pitch and a flexplate with both large and small diameter converter bolt circles. The ST400 or converted TH400 can use the smaller diameter ST300 converter for a bit more stall.

The 300 trans is pretty much scrap except for the converter.

I scrapped 3 of those trans a few months back.
