What about Ross or JE pistons? One or both of them must be doing forged pistons for the V6 crowd.

All the V6 stuff is low compression for the turbo guys.

True.....but, since the dish has to be machined to a certain depth anyways - why couldn't they machine to a depth that would work well for the 350"?? If I remember correctly, the turbo V6 forged pistons have around a .125" or so deeper dish than we would want for the 350".

As long as the comp. height is in the 1.855" range, we should be good.

    I want a twin turbo 350?
    With propane and N20 injection?

So, which V6 pistons work in the 350? The odd fire or the even? As for the aftermarket, if the studebaker guys can get forged pistons, we can get forged pistons...then again, 327ci turbo studebaker motors are making 1000HP...

    spares...

Well, it will be interesting to see where these end up. I did put a bid in on them, I'm running the same pistons in my current '69 350 setup. I think I paid $245 for a set of eight back in '98.

    Sorry

    Ken,

I didn't mean to horn in on your bidding prospects, I was just trying to help board members.

    Don,

No problem, I didn't even see them until I read this thread. If someone on the board desperately needs them, I'll back off and let them bid away. These would be spares for me, hopefully my current 350 sporting these pistons will last a long, long time!!

Looks like Diamond Pistons makes forged pistons for the 3800 crowd. They have a 1.850" comp. height, which should work for the 350". Here is a link to their V6 pistons.

Only hitch might be the 29.5cc dish.....should work great for a Supercharged/turbocharged application. No idea what that would leave the compression at.:Do No:

    Anyone know?

Edit: Found a site to calculate comp. ratios....looks to be in the 8.6:1 range at zero deck, with a .030" over bore. Bring on the Boost!!!:TU: :bglasses:

Gumby, you said you save files.
Got the pix of the turbo exhaust manifolds for
    215/300 buicks ?
You know, the ones made for 3.5 rovers?
    Can't find the link.

I never thought of a turbo buick 350, those pistons could make it possible. Just a thought.
