    GC's GS Duuuuude..nice Pontiac

    I just bolted on my nice and new TA 350 intake. I have a question about the Qjet carb going on the intake....on the stock intake it had a bracket that the throttle return spring clipped on to. On the new intake it doesnt have the bolt hole for that bracket. What I am asking is were does the return spring now go on the Alum. intake? Also..the "plunger" that backed the throttle down,(located inline with the throttle) rolled off the table and broke...does anyone know of were to get a new one or is it really needed? If anyone has any pictures of their 350 TA intake with a stock Qjet carb to send it would answer most of what Im asking.

    Thanks for the help

    return spring

    most 350s have a bracket that bolts to one of the front intake bolt
    as far as plunger it might just be a dashpot for ac to bump idle up when it is on.not really important if running good when ac is on.andy:TU:

    darrenkp Love that Torque!

    The "plunger" on the drivers side simply cushions the closing of the throttle and helps prevent stalling when the throttle is suddenly closed. It functions all the time, weather or not the AC is on. You might be able to do without it, just have to try and see.

    I had to modify my spring bracket. I reversed the way it sat on the stock intake and made another cut in the bracket on the other side for hte spring to hook into.
