I hear some people bashing TA for lacking customer service, well I have to disagree.

Last Friday I ordered a set of TA's new header gaskets and 12 point bolts and asked that they be shipped 2nd day so that I had them for Tuesday. Come Tuesday, I received a package, but where are my bolts? I immediately called TA to find out. I was informed that on Monday, someone realized that they sent the incorrect header gaskets. So they packed up the proper header gaskets and sent them out to me NEXT DAY - no charge, just so they would insure that I had my gaskets on Tuesday. Sure enough, the original package arrived via UPS about 15 minutes after I was off the phone with TA (along with the bolts).
That is the reason TA will get ALL of my Buick business.:TU: :TU:

I think Dave @ TA wants to die every time he realizes its the guy with the Centurion...because he knows I'll have 100 dumb questions for him. Yeah that's me! How'd ya guess?

Just got my booster plate and shim kit along with a priming tool for my oil pump today...

For some reason, I'm freaking out about instaling it.:gt:

I have had nothing but the best of luck with either TA or Poston. I guess I must be on the preferred list.  I have never had to get back to them because of a problem. They are always respectful and willing to answer any questions I have.

When I ordered my last batch of stuff from TA, I had quite a lengthy conversation with them about my car and what cam I should get. They were helpfull and friendly, and the parts came quickly and well packed.

My only complaint is that they don't have a store right next to my house, and their parts aren't free. Am I asking for too much?:gt:

    T/A Performance

There is no doubt that T/A sells first class parts and helps with our needs but, I think they need a toll free order line and better information packed with some things they sell. I bought a new oil pump for my 455 and the gear & regulator kit and found the springs will not fit because the new style pump uses a shorter releaf spring. The Billet steel flywheel has no indexed area at the mounting like the O.E.M. one allowing the clutch springs to hit the flywheel bolts. A simple note like READ THIS BEFORE INSTALLION, would be nice and save me to do a job twice. AL

All I can say is T/A performance is THE place to get Quality Buick parts, Mike has become a good friend of mine, when we speak on the phone it usually turns into at least an hour. I'm sure he is a little upset that I have not ordered much from him lately, but that is becuase his company built my current engine, a 494 stroker eng. that has been great and never been down since the build date of 1998. people have come and gone at T/A Perf. but the Quality persists! thanks to Mike and Sherri(owners) and their staff who has allways been cordial and prompt with their shipments to me.

I never had a problem with Mike, but his wife has been the rudest person when I called with a bent dip stick tube. UPS damaged it during shipping and she made me wait through the UPS claim process (10 Days) before send another one. I couldn't finish my engine, because of the delay.

Turbos the Dog that gets beat....Rub his nose in Sh..

I don't think TA has any problems with customer service or quality of the parts they offer. There problem is employee retention which effects productivity and effeciency. Maybe they are just trying to do too much with what they have?

    gotbuick What, me worry?

I just had a similar thing happen when UPS damaged a set of S2 header gaskets. Cheri (?) was pleasant with me.

Although the kicker was when she said her kids had to run to the shop because Dad's GSX broke down! Oh man isn't life as bummer some times???
