Those pictures are from Island Dragway, Great Meadows NJ. About 20 minutes from my house. The track has not really changed all that much from 1962, just the cars. Cool pictures.
I ran at Atco and Vineland in 1960-1963. From Philly, we pretty much stayed in South Jersey and virtually lived at Ocean City, Wildwood, Avalon, and Cape May Point all summer. Understand the play "Jersey Boy" is a must see for anyone from that area back then. Story of Frankie Valli and the 4 seasons....... Closest it got to here was Chicago a few years back.
