whats it take to get this piece of trim off, is there nuts on backside where the window rolls down???
Josh, if the part is pot metal I would put money on nuts on the backside. Not really sure though, its not a Buick!! You need to find the fisher body manual for descriptions and diagrams. I know on the 70-72 GS, the side piece snaps onto clips, the corner pieces at the rear have two studs on them so thats why I say if its pot metal, then I would be taking the interior panels out to look (maybe try a small extension mirror and flashlight). later Tim
Is that a Rallye Cutlass? Kind of looks like it, with the side stripe, and the flat dash area (from what I can make out in the picture). Weird vinyl top/trim, I've never seen anything like that before. uzzled: I wouldn't think that piece, being on the driprail, would have a nut on the backside. I'd think that it's just rolled over the edge. If it is nutted, you'll probably have to remove the 1/4 glass to get at it, even. Let us know what you find out! :bglasses:
Looks like a 69 chevelle to me... o No: Don't go ripping it out until you confirm either way or you might regret it. later Tim
yeah I got it off, now what it took to get it off, well both upper and lower parts of the rear seat, side panels, and the weather stripping to get it off, now it was held on by one nut and one screw, but was folded over the back edge to where you had to take the weather stripping off to get it off, i did manage to roll the window down far enough to get to the screws yeah 69 chevelle, this isn't mine (stole the pic) i have pics of mine i have to get developed, ill post pics of my car then
