Ever heard of a 1958 Nash Ambassador Indianapolis Pace Car? I just sold my F150 to a guy near here and his 80 year old Father- in-law came with him and invited me to see his car collection in Milford. Definitely plan to do that.

He told me about a couple of the 20 or 30 cars he has (60 Lincoln with a retractable hardtop like the Ford Skyliners, 1930 and 1951 Packards), but the most interesting one is this 1958 Nash Ambassador Indy Pace Car. It was built specially to be the 1958 Indianapolis Pace Car, but apparently Pontiac beat them out and it wasn't used. AMC thought the car had been cut up and scrapped, but someone got it out the back door and this guy bought it from him 30 or so years ago. It has 4000 original miles on it. Has some monstrous engine in it, but originally was supercharged.

Will take my camera with me for sure. What a piece of history.

Also nice to meet someone that makes me look young, too!

    That's right.

    So old, I fart dust.

My old Golden Retriever, Sadie, just turned 14 yesterday. That's 98 in human years. Still gets around pretty well.

See other post in Pure Stock

Gonna try to. Will have the original engine back in the car then after a few years hiatus in the 14's. Sold that white truck this weekend. Both dogs are in mourning. New diesel sits too high for the old one to jump in, I have to pick her up into the seats.

    YUP, it sure is!

But this is an old pic taken in Alabama when I bought it last October. I could cry looking at it now covered with salt. Michigan sucks.....well at least 11 months out of the year. September is nice.
