Hey - it's Michigan and we still have 23 hours to see if it changes! I'm still planning on it at the moment. Will wait till 2ish tomorrow and see how it looks before I decide to throw in the towel. If it does stay nice after all there might be a lot less people there b/c they thought rain was comin' and I'll get a lot more runs in.

    Never say Never :)

Right now it is clear and sunny in Milan. My shop is about 8 miles from the track, so I can give you a "play-by-play". :TU:

Nyuck, nyuck, nyuck. No "chickening" out. :Brow:

I found out the lower control arm strut rod had the threads stripped at the front crossmember and the front suspension was being held on with just the cotter pin. I am picking up the new strut rods and bushings today and hopefully the old beater will be back in my hands tomorrow. I guess that would explain the excessive camber and toe-in that would occur at the track. :idea2: I should be able to pick up a tenth without the front wheels scrubbing down the track.............

well that's a close call there. Wasn't your frt tires wearing funny?

Or was that some old drag trick? Altered wheel base Frank . Launch the car and the front wheel roll back. or maybe hang more frontend over the lights -just to get a nose on the competition. :puzzled: :puzzled: I'm watching you.

Okay Okay - I finally must admit defeat. Trailer was hooked to the Tahoe and sun was still out at 2:30. Was just getting ready to get Olds out and load it up and the clouds rolled in and started to mist just a bit. Sky looked worse to west so decided to call it. Now it is POURING rain and I am not a very happy camper. Oh well I guess there are several other Wednesdays left.

The skies opened up here in Warren just after 2:30 with hail.
I would have gotten nailed if I would have left at 2:30 like I was planning on.

Lets try to make it on Wednesday the 19th or the 26th.
Next week is no good for me, the parents are in town to visit.
Maybe Frank will have his #*&! together by then.

Funny you should mention that............... The guy at the Hot Rod shop, where they are doing the front end work, did mention the fact about moving the K-member forward an inch. Then we discussed moving the rear axle forward and inch as well. Next thing ya know, we got a skid plate protecting the oil pan in anticipation of the wheelstands...LOL Are wheelie bars PSMCDR qualified?? :Brow: :Brow:

Tomorrow (Thursday 5/6) is "Rocky's Pit Stop Track Rental" at Milan dragway. They prep the track for 6 second cars and use it as a tune up day prior to the Heads Up race on Friday (5/7). There are never many cars there, so it is a great opportunity if you want to come out and test your Pure Stocker. The rental runs from 2pm to 8pm if anyone is interested. :3gears:

Today the 12th looks like more rain...........

I can't do the 19th, but the 26th looks good for me. I hope to get some passes in before later in June or July/August because I HATE running in the heat.

Ah yes you have been to Milan. The end of the season is when they really oil the track down.

I would like Yvonne to go as we are headed to Norwalk this weekend and the car/ driver has yet to make a pass this year.
