Legendary Motorcar is celebrating their 25th aniversary on Aug 19th and they've invited us all to join them for a day at the track. Drag racing and circuit course in use.....guest celebs too! August 19th at Toronto Motorsports Park. Maybe 2.5 hours from Detroit. If we get enough racers, I'll find a sponsor to put up a big prize for best racer of the day. RSVP bruno17@aol.com .........and yes there's lamb:3gears:
That sounds like a lot of fun ! I am coming up to Detroit to visit Mark on the 19th (Dream Cruise). If you can convince him to take me up there....He may have a Weymouth rental for me to use... Have a great time! Jody
Damn. if that was the following week I could probably make it. My parents are in town and my wife is off work that week. Tim & Rhonda, I like your new 72. I won't spill the beans yet.
I love a good party :beers2: I took off this week to play some golf and head to the mopar nats in ohio.. Have fun and say hello to all my Canadian friends.
Wow my last day at Dearborn engine is the 16th. Wonder if my new plant in Local 600 would mind me takin a thursday off plus the Stanton race. What the hell I pay union dues and it would be a nice present to myself
Jeremy, Where are you going next after Dearborn? AAI? I was in AAI for 6 of my last 7 years at Ford...
I'm at Dearborn Engine & Fuel tank in local 600. They are no longer making Fuel tanks so I will be moved to another building in Local 600. Could be Final, Frame or Stamping. I will not know what shift or what building until thursday or friday. If I get forced C shift (friday saturday day shift, sunday monday afternoons) I will only get to race Stanton but I will get to work the weekends for straight time  AAI, it seems like nobody has anything nice to say about that place. Hope you had it better then most
looks like Jeremy amd myself will be going thursday. Of course we will be takin the wives cars, Nothing says I Love You -like dialing in there cars first!:3gears: :3gears: :3gears: :3gears:
WTF is that???????????? The NAFTA SHUFFLE? The "we signed in preferred trading for CHINA, and killed the USA BOOGIE"? Thats just not right:blast: EDIT---I see George W isn't in there, so it's the " We set the stage for George to give preferred trading to CHINA to finish off the USA, after we ram-rodded NAFTA through BOOGIE-WOOGIE"
That is down right disturbing. I am going to pray to the good lord above that i really didnt see that. My eyes! it burns! it burns! hahahaha ou:ou:ou:ou:
Talked to Timmy, the tracking is hooking..... no real timing news yet... he will keep me informed and I will pass it along
Wow, what a track! I need a shower, so I'll be quick and update in a hour or so. My best time at the track before was 11.80. Did a 11.70 right of the trailer! I'M BACK! Owen did a 12.85 with the Nova and everyone else had personal best's. Was a great day. 30 mph complete tailwind did not hurt a bit. Peter
What fun day. Peter from Dream Car Garage put on a great event. Likely only about 30 cars, so unlimited track time on a track that hooked hard. Since there was a wide cross section of cars, it ended up the day with a bracket race for a Legendary Motorcar coat as the prize. Two pure Stockers made it to the finals as in RDL's brother Dan and Tim Clary. Tim took the win light and made his day. Thanks Peter and thanks Bruno for helping set this event up. Too bad more pure stockers could'nt make it. You would have loved the track. Peter
