    Phil,
Thanks for starting this TEXAS thread!

For intro: I'm Steve Campbell from Sugar Land, Tx (just southwest of Houston). Have owned a '66 Skylark GS thin pillar coupe since 1994. Member of GSCA, Houston Buick Club, BPG email group. Just recently retired and hoping to have more time to play with the car!

I would definitely like to see something to bring the Texas GS (or other Buick) guys & gals together. I have never been to the RCR in Seguin, but would jump at the chance. I don't race the '66 much but do occasionally at the Sealy CCB races.

With help from a couple of other GS owners, I have been trying to contact other GS / Skylark owners in the Houston area to join our Houston club. Hopefully at our first of the year meeting on Jan 25th, we will have some new BBB members.

BTW, I'm new at posting here, so hope this work OK.

    Steve

I think Phil had a great idea starting the thread for the Texas group.

I think a get togeather would be really fun. I was going to bring up at the Houston Buick Club our talk about haveing an informal get togeather at Seguin would really be cool :TU:

    The more the better

I am gonna try to go to both meetings the one in houston and the on in dallas a friend of mine said he would like to go to the dallas event also. I have only gotten 3 emails so far. I spoke with my turbo regal friends here in austin and they said they would go IF THE Houston and Dallas guys go also. Everyone I have spoken to in the austin area said they were game for this informal gathering. If You would like to go.email me that way I can gauge intrest in this. There are plenty of buicks in texas and I tried along with others to try to make it as central as possible. Weather it be Temple academy raceway or seguin (think seguin is now a better facility! but just my thoughts. My email is dfite@flash.net

Phil, this same thread needs to be started on the Turbobuick.com board in the Texas section, there are a lot of Texas Buick guys there not on this board.

It's easy to post a link, just go to the top of the tread and copy the address, then past it on your post like this

    http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11692

This is the link to this post

Chris are numbers are coming up. Randys place might be obsolete now. We might as well just go Straight to the track and prep the Burgers there (if thats allowed.)

Yeah, I would really like to get a bunch of those guys involved with this also. If we can get the big block guys and the turbo guys together, that would be a formidable force at a track.

    I'm together!

Phil, this really sounds good if there is alot of interest from the Texas Buick guys, it's possible to have another event at Rivercity again this year.
The track was great last year and the price was right but the attendance was not for what ever reason.

If enough people commit to being there and I would say at least a 100 cars the LSPBC can do this event! If not we can still have a get-together but just not a track rental and Buicks only.

This event was discussed at our last meeting and it was decided to have a local racing program without renting any track, so no Mini Nats. (at least that's what we use to call it, it really doesn't matter as long as we race) But nothing is set in stone.

You really have generated a lot of interest I hope we can turn this in to a great Buick event.

Maybe start a thread on each site for who is in only!
Or can we set up a poll?

Also remember if you show up at our meeting, dinner is on me!
