    Hi All,
I need help deciding which direction to go :Do No: . I am installing a 455 into my 67 skylark. I have a th350 trans in it right now but I have a th400 sitting in the garage. should I stick with the 350 or install the 400, and what problem can I expect to run into by switching.
    thanks,
    Spencer

From what I've read on this board (and if it hasn't been stated yet here - considering some posts aren't working right at the moment), if it is a stock 455, the 350 should hold up. If you plan to increase your power output, you'd be better off with the 400.

I'm not sure if the driveshaft length would be different.

TH400's are supposedly bulletproof behind even a modified 455, the th350 needs some strengthening. Then what truzi said, different length tranny's.
