I have started taking photos of my conversion. MY photos are too large. How do I fix that so I can post them?
    Thanx.

    Click on'properties' and resize them.

John - If you post them on Photobucket.com (free service) - it will automatically resize them. I believe it will be the right size for this board. You can also just post the photobucket link, if you go that route.

The Gimp...free download that is basically like photoshop. Works extremely well and versions for all platforms. Makes it easy to do whatever you want to a picture, including resize the photo and change file size (quality).

Don't pretty much all computers come with Microsoft Paint? Open the file in Paint, then click Image, then Stretch/Skew. Select a percentage, and save as a new file.

All you see so far is the tranny comparos, the Transdapt adaptor plate, and the view of the tranny after I cut the ears off. It does squeeze up with the headers installed. I'll do more photos as I go. The other trans is a long shaft TH400, the 4l80e is a tad shorter.

ps - any CA guys want a great running TH400 for free, come & get it, I'll give you a few beers to take it away.

I'd like to thank all you guys for helping me figure out how to resize the photos. From iPhoto, I was able to resize them for e-mail. Then I clicked on sent items & saved the smaller photos.

    Thanx again.

Hello again. Got some good work done today. Tranny is in. Linkage mount on the trans-pan was a tad of work, had to lose the lip of the pan that points downward, so I could get the bracket flat. Otherwise, the cable could not get the shiftarm all the way into first. When I had this shifter on my Th200R it workid fine, just spacing it down. It was only a pain because it was so tight and I did not have a a great selection of tools. The cooler lines are ready to go. I had to add a new fitting that goes into the trans case (upper one only), since I did, there will be no banging necessary. The Trishield tranny cooler line kit for a TH400 is working fine. I am going into a cooler in front of the radiator. Crossmember will work, but is shifted back a few inches. Trans mount on a 4l80e is slightly different. The upper bolts are metric and the mount is narrower by like 1/2" on the top/trans flange. Should be back at it tomorrow.

I know it is all dirty, but the best things in life are dirty.

    Thanx.

Looks like cable shift linkage mounted to the oil pan bolts, pretty usual for aftermarket stuff.

Yes, it is the B&M shift cable. I showed it because it is made for pretty much all GM autos, but the 4l80e. It is a big trans., long pan.

I had to take a break from my project for a week or so. I had to watch my almost-2-year old for a week. I thought about trying to pop in & work on it when he was napping, but I know as soon as I really got into it, he would wake up. And by the end of the day, I just needed to relax with Sam Adams. Finally got around to having a driveshaft made, dropped it off yesterday & picked it up today. They made it like 4" too short. Crap! I called him back and he said; "Oops, I did do it wrong." So, Hopefully next time I post, it will be running.
