th400 worked perfect, lost 3rd gear out of the blue....

    Great work. Probably the TH400 is the easiest 3 speed to rebuild, the only one I needed
    to know (and TH425 FWD). I would write all the details on a 3 X 5 card for a file I have
    on maintenance status on everything, that I put in the car or on the backup shelf.

    im the same, i have a file folder of every single nut and bolt i have bought for the car! haha good way to track why im always broke! hahaha
    i went to install the rear control arms lastnight and said screw it and pulled rear and painted it. going back together today. got new shocks, upper control arms were a bear to get the axle lined up, but put it in loose last night. should be done today, in time for first car show of the year!
    the old stuff was wasted, someone put poly bushings in and the bolts were so loose the holes were hogged out...
