Excellent! Rich, I think you and Donny just identified a new goal for me next year (besides actually showing up with a racecar which has eluded me so far). Hopefully my son and I can do a little man pedal driver's training with the Firebird in 2013. Great event once again and many thanks to Dan & Bob. I hope to do a lot more racing than watching in the future (although just hanging out with the Buick crew is always a good time and very entertaining!). P.S. Dave H., not sure where you're at in town but I can't be too far away. If you ever need an extra hand with something I'd be honored if you asked for my help!
Not sure what I can add that hasn't been already mentioned, but I might as well be explicit in thanking Bob and Dan for a wonderful event with wonderful racers and spectators. A big kudos to the Remlingers for the lunch too! And it was nice to meet Brandon as well. And congrats to the Clarys for getting their Montego GT in a future issue of Hemmings Muscle Machines.
You're welcome, Diego! There might be a old blue Dodge in the issue with the Clary's Montego GT! Thanks again for the culinary gift!!:laugh:
Bob and I sure do appreciate the thanks from all of you. It's the fuel we need to keep bringing this event to you. We, in turn, would like to thank all of you for bringing your beautiful musclecars and giving the spectators a great show that they will be talking about for the next year. We'd also like to thank everyone who helps us including the West Michigan Pontiac Club whose members man the gates, scales, t-shirt sales, staging lane, tower, tech, and more. Plus all of you who pitch in and help tech the cars in Friday morning, you know who you are! There wouldn't be a race without all of your help. Kudos also to Diego for doing a great job for us announcing! I thought I knew a lot about these cars, but he manages to tell me something new every year. Thanks to Terry McGean and Matt Litwin from Hemmings for covering the race and doing feature coveage on a lot of your cars! It was good to see Tom Shaw back again. It would be the Pure Stock Drags without Tom at the starting line! Thanks again for coming and making it a good year! Bob and Dan
Thanks again from your northern friends. I hav'nt missed one yet. Best event on earth, period! Peter and boyz
Dan, I only know what I know because I was reading about you and your brother, Bob K, John Mino, and others while a kid. Chatting in the booth with Dennis or Casey (MIA this year) always helps me brush up on stuff too!
Thanks to Bob,Dan and all the volunteers that help make PSMCDR the best car party on the planet. Seemed like there were more spectators too! Thanks to all that contributed to the outstanding hotel parking lot buffet. I tried to describe it to people but......you had to be there. Way to go Diego!!! Very insightful commentary!
Sorry I have been so late in replying , but to Dan, Bob and the entire crew that make this event worth coming to every year......... THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! Every year I come away with a new appreciation of how much this event not only means to me, but to so many gearheads!!!!! To the people who do not understand why we are hard on individuals who threaten this gathering of old iron in its intended habitat, please step back and let us police our brothers and sisters. The passion that follows the competitors of this event cannot be explained. To the people that I always want to be with and the cars I want to see run......... SEE YOU SOON!!!!!
