NO CHICAGO OUTLAWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They damn near ruined it for me.

Please plan next years event on a day they aren't there. Those were the most disrespectful POS that I've ever been at a track with. A black eye to a great event. Share the track with diesel truck night, VW nats, regular race night etc. Not that illegal betting, no E.T. B.S. you see on TV. Those A**holes came in, took over peoples pit areas, parked in the middle of the return rows, sat on golf carts in the middle of the return roads blocking people from getting back to their pits to cool down, stood in the way,etc.,etc.,etc.

Racing conditions were great, track prep was great, OUR people are great, a good time, thanks.

Maybe next year preregistration for the racers, and pimp the event a little more? I know for me, it's nice to see a list of people who have payed in advance, and committed to be there. Nothing draws a crowd, like a crowd. The F.A.S.T. website had absolutely NO info on this event other than the date. No price for car and driver, no price for spectator, no time when gates opened or closed.

    Thanks again Terry and Dave.

The F.A.S.T. and Factory Stock racers were showing there best, but the events that started happening around noon or so Saturday reminded me of why I only attended a race at US 30 Merrillville Indiana one time. The spectators coming in thought that they were the show, sort of like looking at People of Walmart. Toms suggestions echo my thoughts, even though the diesel truck event at the Terre Haute Indiana Vigo County Fairgrounds and Drag Strip got a bit out of hand too last year.

Mr. Miller could not have said it any better. Animals belong in a zoo or behind bars. Pairing up with these idiots means a no show for me next time.

Thanks for a great event for us to play at.. Had a great time running the new car, A few bugs to work out but very happy with the car.
Congrats to Mike Kilarno for the win, His Hemi power was just to much for my little 396. Last one was real close but not good enough. :TU:

Great seeing everybody,Had a great time. Good friends -Great food- A couple times a year just doesn't seem enough. I hope you all have safe travels home.

Yeah the Getto Nationals was the downer of the event. Most disrespectful people I have ever Meet. Really took away from the event.

    Still appreciate all you do.

First of all let me thank you all for coiming to the race this weekend. I also want to apologize to all who attended. What a joke. Dave and I had no idea that any other racing organization was even going to be there. After hearing all the stories from you, our racers, about all the bs that happen to them in the pits, Dave and I would never knowingly subject you guys to that. We expressed our extreme dissapointment to the GM as to what was going on. We had the track rented till 5 pm today so no other racing organization shoud have been allowed past the gate till after 5 pm. To make matters worse, I got a call form Dave and he said one of our racers almost got in a fight trying to leave! I was so pissed that I called the GM again and told him what I thought and how disappointed we were. The conversion didn't go so well. Right now the location of our future events is questionable. Again we are very sorry.

    Terry,
this post was not meant to be a shot at you or Dave, quite the opposite. We all know you guy's wouldn't have agreed to this kind of Fiasco.
I like how they all followed the request of the Track Manager this morning when he asked them to move out of the our racers pit area, by totally ignoring him!
We all just learned what we have to be on the look out for on US131's schedule next season when planning a race.

Lastly, it wasn't fair to the good people of Chi-town for me to single out one demographic area of racers, Motor City was well represented and probably a couple other big cities.

Jeremy McNicol We had a good time

I can't help but think that part of this is our fault.
100 plus car count we could have our own race.
I'll make sure and do my part and have both cars ready next year.

I knew that this other event was planned, but assumed that they would arrive after the FAST race was finishing up. I hope everyone kept their stuff locked up.......

Otherwise, another fine get together at Martin.

Great time. Yes pits were crazy. Almost took at 2 people jumping
out in front of me on the way to staging lanes
And what's up with the pimped Out golf carts.
But was able to get joe shepards car up from 104-106 mph.
So we had a great time.
    Lets do it again soon.
anyone else like another event soon?

Thanks Dave and Terry for your time and effort in planning and running the event.
    Good times.
Yeah, it was a bit crazy with the all the "other people" rolling in early but I still had a good time.
Great to see all our racing friends.

Special thanks to Steve Hodges, I can cross that one off my bucket list.

Thanks Terry and Dave for putting this together, the facility is always top notch. It's sad to hear that management wasn't respectful to what you had to say.
I had a blast even though my low compression small block got beat by Steve's dual carb big block Shelby. :)

If there is another group of racers coming in for an evening event, track management should place orange cones or signs in the pit area past the 1/8 mile mark saying they park north of the cones/signs until our event is completed. That place is big enough for everyone, but they double and triple parked in the southeast corner causing a huge traffic jam all day long. Golf carts, mini bikes, and 4-wheelers cutting through the staging lanes while we were running. The return road was a mess too.

Hello Guy`s, First and foremost thanks to all the races and spectators who showed, without you there would be no race, thanks thanks thanks.
Terry and I could not be more sorry for the events that transpired on Saturday. We booked the entire facility for two days until 5:00 pm as usual, it was "our" track, period! I think we could all agree Friday was a great day of racing for all.:TU: Saturday morning we ran into problems and trust me Terry and I were in constant contact with track management, They were caught "off guard", they had no idea the type of response their Saturday afternoon program would get and at the end of the day it nearly ruined our event. I still do not know how they can let 1000 people into OUR event without paying a entry fee? (had/if they anted up we will pass that on to our racers for dealing with personalities we had to deal with). Please understand this post is not about the money thing, we would have rather had them just stay out until 5:00 but as you know you can't pick and choose your spectors. I will say things got/are heated right now between US131 and us. They assured us this type of thing would NEVER happen again, however that does not change what has already happened. At this point were hoping they do something close to the right thing and if they do we will continue with Martin and I would hope our fall race would be nearly half price for everybody. Again, trust me when I say we tried to do everything with-in our power and we both apologize.

The guy`s who might be reading this but didn`t attend.. About Saturday 11:00ish people started pouring into our event, about 1000 people and 100 cars on trailers. in itself that might have been ok, however 90% of these people were rude, loud, disrespectful, etc. Your driving your car back from the return road and they won`t more their golf cart from the center of the street so you can get by, stuff like that...

KNOW WERE DOING WHAT WE CAN, TRUST ME!

On a positive note when things settle down we will post some ET`s and pictures!! Thanks everybody!

Dave and Terry, not your fault. Not interested in a discounted race. We want to race and know that the car counts have been low. Don't want the program to suffer because of some city folks who can't respect what we are all trying to do. I will say I would recommend trying to get the track on a weekend without the "Outlaws". Had some major issues on the return road Saturday. Had cars pitted in the return road with trailer ramps across from them a foot or more into the road. Made it a real tight squeeze to get through. It all worked out and glad the rain held off so we could get our pairings in and look forward to racing together in the fall. Just keep the track hooking and we will be there!!! Put the extra in the track prep!!!Thanks again for all the time and work you guys do to make these events run.

I have been to the no et thing at Milan and it was nothing like this. I knew we were in trouble when the 6 foot trophies were on display on a 3 foot table. Then they were setting up a foot race and blocking the road behind the staging lanes. The red necks on friday night were nothing like the animals that showed up Saturday. I work in the ghetto every day and never feel threatened, I figured the guns and cognac were coming out after the rain delay. Good call moving up the race time, it was deteriorating real fast after 12pm, both the weather and the zoo animals.
