as long as its in one piece I can use it, happy to cover shipping, etc. I'm trying to get an EDIS ignition setup to go with an EFI system and I need a junk timing cover to prototype the trigger wheel and VR setup. Happy to share the setup info once its all done thanks!
covers i am getting ready to head to the track, there are 4 of us who run big block buicks and I think i am the only one on this site. I will see if anyone has a cover for you. Thanks Dustin
Mike d. I just disassembled a 430 and had to do some damage to get this cover off. The distributer is still stuck in the hole. I will look at it and see whats left for you if you are interest. Weekender
Yes they are!!! And I will get a pic of that fly wheel for you... TODAY... Sat the 17th!!! I promise.. Michael
thanks for the info, I'm late on getting some Jeep parts out to a guy so I understand the "TODAY" all too well
I have one that is clean from my '72 electra, waterpump bolt holes are messed-up but you can have it for shipping. I live in san jose ca. so not too far. let me know if you want it. thanks jerry
Hey Mike, I've seen you over on the megasquirt message board too. I'm a fellow megasquirter but I have it on my turbo camaro. But I'm definatly interested in what you come up with for ignition on your 455. Keep us updated! :TU:
just an update on the EDIS setup. I got Brian over at Boost Engineering a cover and a HB for him to setup a 36-1 wheel and a VR sensor, but he didn't have the time to get it together. He does sell EDIS parts, real attractive pricing : http://home.earthlink.net/~beanbooger/boost_engineering/ In the meanwhile it turns out that NAPA sells both a generic 36-1 wheel and a VR sensor. I'm picking up the 36-1 wheel tomorrow, my guess is that it will need some machining to mount to the balancer. looks like it may move the pulleys out about 3/16" Part numbers: ECHLIN CSS304 (camshaft interupter), $10 ECHLIN CSS411 (vr sensor), $23. available online or via your local parts house
