    Congrats to both!

That picture was taken at the F.A.S.T. /FS race held at Englishtown NJ last August/September.

Go to the FAST website http://www.fastraces.org and check out the details about the next Hemmings MusclePalooza F.A.S.T./FS race coming up in the end of May. This will be an excellent chance to get your car in the magazine.

I've only been there (to watch a Pure Stock event) once back in the late 90s, but I immediately knew it was Stanton even before I saw "Mid-Michigan Motorplex" right there on the timing tower. :Smarty:

Litwin snapped some sweet shots of those cars! Nice write-up too. Congrats to Dale and Amanda!

My girls are only 5 and 7 right now, but maybe someday...

Yeah, cool pictures -- thanks to PhotoShop!!!!

One of the pictures in the article is an obvious chop job, which raises suspicions about all the rest. I've always bitten my tongue about the number of factual errors which creep into print in HMM, because by and large it's a great magazine. But if they start fabricating their photos ..... what's left to respect?

So what if they photoshop a picture to improve it. Technology changes and improves things. You can't knock 'em for using new technology. I think the whole point of the article is just to show off the Waligora's musclecars and how much fun they have with them at the PSMCDR and the FAST events that we all love to attend. Any magazine is probably not going to get 100% of the facts straight. That's just the way it goes.

Sorry, but I have to side with Brian here - if you're gonna have a Buyer's Guide, you better get your stuff right. Sometimes the layout and photography end up overshadowing the nitty gritty that they get wrong.

I don't mind a little touch up (although even there, where do you stop? is it OK to clean up an dirty engine compartment? remove rust from manifolds? fix a tear in the driver's seat?)

What I'm talking about is when they cut and paste a picture of two cars from one photo and place them on another background. It makes you wonder whether the cars were ever even in that location. Now, every time I see a fantastic photo in HMM, with the car shown in some fantastic scenery, I'll wonder if it's real.

Anyway, I didnt' mean to take anything away from Dale and Amanda. Cool cars and cool people.

Care to elaborate on which one you think is faked? I'm an amateur Photoshopper myself and I will say the cover gave me pause at first glance. (The shadows under the cars are very different in nature and the tire treads are oddly bright when they should be dark, among other little things.) But after looking at the photos within the article, I'd bet a decent sum that they're all legit Brian. I just think the cover image has been "juiced" for more dramatic color tonality (all rags do this).

Do you think the cars were pasted onto the scene in the cover? If so, check out the driver shots in the article and you'll see Dale and Amanda are standing in the car arrangement that's on the cover. Also check out all the grandstand reflection detail in the car bodies. That'd be pretty hard to fake.

Buyer's Guide? I thought we were talking up the Waligora's. That buyer's guide is about '57 Dodge w/ fins. I'll agree that when you are cookin' up a buyer's guide, accurate facts are right at the top of the recipe.
