I just moved out to Colorado. I also just had my car finished up at TSP. Jim jetted it down some and it is running great out here. What is bothering me is the talk at our local gatherings about the effect of the altitude on my times. I never had a chance to run it near sea level so I do not have a direct comparison. We were guessing at low to mid 12's for the car. The guys out here are saying that anything that breaks under 14 seconds is a very fast car. Dang! I didn't want to give up 1.5-2 seconds:Do No: Of course they don't know Buicks either. The strip is at about 4500ft. Does anybody have a feel, from experience, as to how much it will slow the car down? I have a street drag this coming friday. I have a couple sets of meetering rods to tune with but, I hope it runs at least in the mid 13's. Help!

Thanks Gregg, I hope the chart is correct. I ran it backwards and if I run a 13.0 at 4500ft it equates to a 12.3 at sea level. So instead of low 12's, I should be looking at low 13's. I could live with that, and if it works out, that would make my little ol' Buick one of the quickest cars around, especially for a driver with AC:pp

    Thanks for the link!

    Where AT?

    Brent,

Hi welcome to CO. What part of the state you in? We are going racing this weekend! In wyoming. If interested there are about 10 cars going.

If interested email or pvt back I can call you back.

As to your E.T. 1 -2 sec. loss is possible.
    Denver to Pueblo .5 gain
denver to Douglas .5-.7 deps. on the heat gain
Denver to Kearney 1.0 and was very HOT gain
This is just my car. F.I cars are about half that gain or loss
