...OR, a couple reasons why I should not be going to Salem.(but will be there anyway!) : 1) We signed up with a realtor today, and start showing our house in 10 days. Lots of work to do here, cleaning up, PURGING, some repairs, paint to scrape, and repaint. 2) The flip side, we of course need to find a new house to buy! Coordinating the timing of buying and selling will likely not be the easiest thing to do. We want to get this all done by Nov. 1, which really isn't that far away. We've moved in the winter before, and it's not pleasant. And the reason for this happening now, instead of next summer is... 3) Ummm, we need another bedroom next April! Yep, that's right, we have baby #2 on the way! There's just no room in this house anymore. Only 2 bedrooms, and no way to come up with a 3rd one, so it's time to move. We've been in this place 10 years, and it's time for bigger and better things. Like a 3-stall garage if I'm lucky! :TU: I seriously thought about cancelling the trip to Salem, but I know next summer's BPG meet is out, as I have a big family reunion next summer, and Barb is very supportive of me still going. I'm trying not to feel too guilty... ou:
Thanks Adam, we're pretty excited about this, especially my 6yr old daughter. She really needs a little bro or sister to pick on her.
WOW:grin: Congrats Dave!!!! That is Awesome, I am going to run upstairs and tell Kim the news.:beer Go to Salem while you can, That's my advice:laugh:
Congrats, David! That's very exciting for sure! Looking forward to seeing you in Salem, also. Tell your wife "thanks".......what a Gal!
Or at least a more accessible one.... (Haggerty would like that! ) Wasn't there a move to a slightly sunnier climate in your future? Why not now? Congrats!
Wow Congratulations Dave...that is great news... Best of luck on the home search. Hope to finally meet you in Salem.
Congrats to you and the Mrs . !:TU: Now get to Salem and enjoy while you have a chance ! :bglasses: :bglasses: :TU:
Thanks for all the good wishes! We were feeling a little overwhelmed yesterday, looking at all the work we need to do, but a plan is in place, and we just need to accomplish one thing at a time, and we'll get there. Nicholas, we had been contemplating a warmer climate a while back, but have pretty much decided against that idea. Hard to do that when most of our families are in this region of the country, and our employment situations are both pretty good. Maybe we'll retire to AZ someday... ou:
Congratulations David!!!:TU: Claire will definitely love having a little brother or sister. Also, she is at the age where she will help change those nasty diapers... hopefully. Best of luck to you and Barb, and looking foward to meeting you in Salem. Randy
Thanks Randy, I'm really looking forward to putting faces with the names here too. Claire? I think diapers will be one of her chores!! She needs to do more for her weekly allowance anyway. Hmm, I wonder if she can do the middle of the night stuff too... :error: I really don't miss those days at all. ou:
