    Chris, congrats! I'm envious! :beer

The SX was not a Road Runner-fighter. The GT-37 was.

I don't believe the 455 was available, despite what some sources claim. From my own literature collection, the earliest source showing it was available was in Jerry Heasley's price guide for MCR almost 20 years ago. I believe it to be incorrect, and I have yet to see anything that shows the 455 to be available on anything other than the GTO.

I'll be in DG with the '62 Grand Prix. The GTO is stuck in storage until I can get the Cobra running or I'm willing to swap it for the GP.

In '70 the top of the line was the base GTO engine mentioned above. In '71 all the V-8's were available in ANY 2 dr A body by Pontiac. That means the '71 GT-37 could be optioned with the 455HO as could the regular T-37 2 dr. ht or sedan.

In '70 the GT was a sticker as shown on red pic above. In '71 it was an emblem.

The ad mentioned above about a little GTO in every GT-37 was a '71 ad. I have one here.

'71 was the only year you could get the 455HO w/o the endura option or any other option except you had to order dual exhaust. When I ordered mine I ordered dual exhaust and the dealer laughed and said I had to order it. Nothing else was required with 455HO in '71. '70 was limited to 400 4 bbl.
