Hello Fellow, [and Female] Buick Lovers,
I have been trying to locate one of my old cars for some time now, the proverbial "one that got away". It is a 1971 or 72 post car, I know, not even sure of the year anymore. It has a custom fabricated 2X3 rear sub frame with a four link and early Art Morrison fabricated coil-overs. it also had a 6 point roll bar. All of the fab work was tig welded and very clean. The last time I saw the car in person it had a big block chevy in it with a aero style pro stock scoop that was Dzeus fastened to the hood. It had black interior with a bench front and no back seat. I believe it was wearing a solid black acrylic enamel paint job. It was at a used car dealer's lot in Mansfield, Ohio and I believe it ended up in the Indianapolis area. Not that I could afford to buy it back right now or anything, but I ran across some construction photos i thought the current owner might like to have. When I owned it the car was Cadillac black emerald with a GS hood and big block Buick power. It was mostly a street car with a few runs at Norwalk here and there. I still have a thing for post cars.

    Thanks,
    Ken

    Ken,
I remember that car when you owned it. That thing looked tough. I looked but I don't have a pic. That's the car in your avatar, right? Post some other pics if you have any. There's a 70 post car for sale in Cortland that needs a engine..........

I do remember seeing it later with the Chevy in it and was really bummed...anyways that was a long time ago. I hope it shows up.....

You have any old pics of the convert from back in the day???

    Hi Lon,
Always nice to hear from you. The post car in my avatar is a car that I put together as nice clean driver just a few years ago. "Simple Green" now belongs to my brother Dave in Rochester, NY. That car may be coming home soon. The back-half car I'm looking for I last saw in 94 or 95 when the Brunswick Cruise was still at KMart Plaza on 303. I do have some old pics of the convertible from way back that I would be happy to send your way. Man that car was fun! Just shoot me your address. I will scan some pics of the back-half car and post them soon as well.

Ken I didn't think your avatar looked like the tubbed car Hopefully someone knows where it went. The last time I saw it was at a car show on Trisket near W117th back in the early 90s. Attached is pic of your old convert when my brother owned it around 1983. I'll PM you my info. What happened to the red 72 with the GRRrrr front plate?

    Lon,
Thanks for the info, I will get the pictures out this week. As for the red 72, It was stolen and stripped from the person who had it after me. The car was recovered less complete drivetrain, bumpers and hood. I had the chance to buy it back cheap, but passed. Later on, the car was reassembled and stolen again in another state. I think that car was bad luck! Ken
