This came up on my daily Riviera search on eBay. I've never seen an A-Body GS with a Hurst emblem on trunklid. Doesn't look all that "untouched" to me either. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Only-349-made-Not-Riviera-62-63-64-65-66-67-69-70-71-72-/330861881122?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4d08e7a722#ht_1597wt_2002 Pretty car non the less.
Looks like the original Hurst shifter in it with original black ball - the emblems are aftermarket, you can buy them from Hurst and other vendors on EBay.
Don don't show your lack of knowledge. Everyone knows all hurst edition Buicks came with that special interior.
The only original GS I have ever seen with "Hurst" Emblems on it was the 69 Motion GS...............and they were installed by Motion not Buick. Duane
Its a "Hurst equipped" emblem. I have the same emblem on the back of my 70 GS. I get questioned about it all the time!
Jason, Yeah I know what it is and people used to install them all the time. Just saying they are all aftermarket, and the only GS I know of that could say they were "correct" for the car would be the 69 Motion GS. Jimmy's car even had 2 of them, 1 on the trunk and 1 in the dash pad. Duane PS. Someday I have to finish your paperwork.
Typical ebay car, "the AC doesn't have a belt on it, but I'm sure it works perfectly like the rest of the car". Yeah...sure it does! I do know those ultra long spark plug wires on it, and the special wire retainers that hold the wires to the upper control arms are very rare.
You have all pretty much reinforced my initial reaction to it. Just the way he is describing it makes it sound like it is along the lines of a Hurst Olds 442.
Wow! By the eBay Idiot logic, Then mine must be ultra rare. Besides equipped by Hurst, mine is equipped by AC Delco, Delco-Moraine, Harrison, Frigidaire, Rochester, Bendix ... and probably 10 more I can't think of.
