Thread-in wheel studs vs. press-in?

    I’ve never seen this before. I have a street rod that came in here with cap screw bolts for wheel studs and they were too short to be safe…so I found that these screw in from the back side. Is this a hokey thing or can I find the correct 2” studs for these axles? They’re 1/2x20

    A simple google search revealed my answer. I have a set of Wilwood thread-in studs from Summit coming.

    Odd that it's all RH thread. Makes me hesitant to torque a lug nut the same direction that would loosen a stud! I suppose that if the lug's torqued properly (maybe some loctite too?), all's well.

    Quick Performance uses the same studs in their axles..You will be ok,I'd put some locate on them though

    They usually use them in drag race applications.

    Degrease hub holes and bolts, red Loctite and torque per spec.
