Well, we are smashing fuel atoms and I need the control mechanism for the collider. I am re powering the 64 with a 1974 455 and a 4 speed. Id really like to get rid of the control rod accelerator pedal and go with, I believe, a 1967(?) or 1968 (!) cable unit. This is the cantilever wall mounted pedal driving a cable with a bracket on the intake manifold to a quadrajet. I need the whole shootin' match, bushings, bulkhead connector etc minus the automatic kick down switch. GM started using this is 1967 or 1968. Itll need to come off a 400-430-455 manifold and be a slightly longer cable than a 350. Probably anything up to about 1975 will work from an A body. Any condition cable is OK for the mock up. Thoughts or ideas are welcome. Please advise! Bill in TR
Hi Yachtsmanbill, Don't know if it will fit or what you're looking for but I've got the original gas pedal, cable and kickdown from my '71 GS 350... and I'm right down the road from you. PM me if interested
