I get a letter the other day from Time Warner explaining how they are doing there best to bring great service, blah blah blah. Then it explains how they will be eliminating redudant premium channels, i.e. the west coast HBO's, etc. But as a thank you, they are offering Premium InDemand for free for one month. Since I usually work nights, I usually am not home to watch programs like Sopranos, Six Feet Under, and Dead Like Me (probably my 3 favorite shows), but I was always able to catch them on the west coast channels. So of course, for that month, I will still be able to watch them using the InDemand feature, but afterwards I will have to pay even more to them to continue to be able to watch these shows. Almost sounds like blackmail to me! :af: :af: :blast: .

Thanks Time Warner. I wonder how many customers will switch to satellite for this reason alone.

    Zach,
Slime Warner Cable has been doing a number on us for years. I have the old "Gold" package which doesn't look like it is changing so far. The thing with this is that is it now around $95 a month and will likely go up next year. We thought about dropping it, but to get the channels we want it would cost almost the same and we'd lose a whole bunch of extra ones. Once we drop the gold, it will no longer be offered and it would cost over $130+ to get the same channels back again. :af:
In the early years, cable was a bargain. But now, just like a drug pusher, they get you hooked and up goes the price. Just another thing to separate us working stiffs from our $$$$$$. :Dou:
