I need a good, used, stock or aftermarket timing cover and/or high volume oil pump assembly for a 455.

A little story that happened to my friends 66 Buick sedan

He started it up one morning and the oil light would not go out and the lifters started clattering so he shut it down.
After a few days we took the timing cover off and inspected the pump
Everything was in spects so we packed it full of grease, put it back together (after we put on a new timing chain set)
We ran the pump with a drill and it was really loading the drill down to the point the drill would stall, and very poor oil pressure
Next we took the oil pan off and saw the bottom was full of carbon and goo and a big indentation in the middle of the goo where the oil screen was
After we cleaned it (and spun in a new set of main and rod bearings)
Put it together, ran the pump with the drill (much easier)
Started it up and it ran great for many years

Check the oil pan for goo and check the screen and pick up tube for holes or cracks

Another trick is to take off the oil pressure sensor and pump it full of 90 weight, then replace the sensor remove the distributer and run the pump with a drill motor and see if you pump works,
The 90 weight fills the pump and will create a suction and the pump should work

I had a 65 Mustang that after a hard drive across the desert and it sat over a few days the pump could not get suction so I did the 90 weight and the pump started working (kept the engine running) and it got me back to LA without loosing pressure

    Thanks For The Info.
    This Is A fresh 455 With A 308 S Cam From T.A.
Since I Posted This, Ipulled My Oil Pan And Found A Cam Lobe Starting To Wear Off. IRan The Engine With Outer Springs And It Did Not Idle For 15 Minutes. Before I Started This Engine I Spun The Oil Pump, Had Good Oil Pressure.
