I need to know what tires size fits my 1968 Buick Wildcat. Original tire size was 8.45 15 or 8.85 15.

225R-15 radials were a Wildcat tire option in '68. :TU:

Closest to the H78-15 in height would be 215 R75 15 or 235 R70 15. The 215 is slightly narrower and the 235 is wider. 225 R70 or R75 15 would be either slightly taller or shorter but roughly the same width.

I've found the best fit is either the 225/75/15-recommended radial size in the '68 owner's manual, or 235/70/15. Not to be confused with the 235/75, which is too big and causes rubbing issues in the rear wheel wells. 215/75/15 will work, but look too small on the car IMO.

I have some Goodyear P215/75R-15s on the Riviera and they suit the size of the car OK.
