    I am thinking of getting a set of (4) 14" Buick Five-spoked chrome-plated
wheels for my 1972 Buick Skylark. Question...what is the largest
tire that will fit on these wheels without hitting the fender, etc.
Modern sizes vs. the old G78x14, etc.?
    Thanks, AL

Al, I don't think you can put a tire on those 14x6 rims that would be big enough to worry about hitting anything. You can only go just so wide on a 6" rim. Not sure what the size is, but the tire manufacturers all have max size recommendations on their sites for various width rims.

I have used 245/60/14's on a 68' GS all around.........works well, no rubbing.
    fills the wheel well up.
I'm now using 245/60/15's on front & 255/60/15's on rear.
Decided to make a G-Machine out of my car, for all the twisties here in the
mountains. It sticks like glue.....lotsa fun!

David/68Lark thanks for the good info/advice.
Should be a good deal for 4 wheels with tires..
    For $200 clams I'll take a chance.

    Gotta Love It! :bglasses:
