Tissue Dispenser

  1. Hey guys, yet another question from me. First of all, let me thank those who've been helping me so far. I have very little car experience and I've been learning as I restore and as things break. This site has been an amazing resource for me, so thanks again everybody. :beer
Now, on to my post. I have been trying to find more info on the chrome tissue dispenser for my car (55 special). I saw one on Ebay but it ended up selling for over 100 dollars. It seemed a little high to me, but maybe I'm wrong. I can't find any info on how or where the dispenser would mount. My car has the original AC unit that hangs below the dash. Would that get in the way? I tried some different parts websites without any luck. If anyone has more info or even better, pics, that would awesome. Thanks guys. :beers2:

Tim, Mine sits about middle of my dash, maybe just a little to the right. So your air might be in the way. I think it was a dealer installed option so whereever it fits:Do No: Good luck with it :beer Bill

Most underdash tissue dispensers came with mounting instructions for a specific location, depending on your Buick model.
You can mount them just about anywhere under the dash, using existing holes, or drilling new ones - they were available as a dealer accessory item. Hope this helps ! :TU:

All good information as I have just purchased one for my 63 Cat. Just waiting patiently for the mailman to deliver. Actually I'm thinking about putting a CD player in it so that I don't have to take out the original radio. :Brow:

Update: I got the tissue dispenser in yesterday and installed it. I used the existing screws from the dash to install it. It sits just a little to the left in the passenger side area. The bracket can be adjusted with a hex wrench. I loosened it up and then after the install tightened it down. Looks pretty good. It's not perfect by any means, but that's fine neither is my Kitty.... now to convince the wife for the stereo system...(there goes my allowance I suppose).
