Are you even allowed to sell brake rotors that are under the thickness limits? These are on eBay, and are clearly stated that they are already too thin. But is that even legal to sell them? I can certainly understand the sellers point about maybe a show car needing "correct" rotors, and I can see where there wouldn't be any real safety issues if a trailer queen wore these rotors... But what about when the owner "forgets" they are on the car and sells it to someone else? Anyways..... I thought it was actually illegal to sell these in this condition?
Seems ok to me He is basically TELLING you they are scrap. Should he be forced to give them to the junk yard, or sell um to them?:Brow: I guess there just may be some one with a show car, that never gets driven, that the owner wants the rotors to be original??? This has to be the person (if there is one ) the seller is looking for???o No: ou: ou: :3gears:
discs Slightly under will work fine with new pads. Its only an issue when the pads wear down to the metal and there is no contact - vice metal to metal "hey it will still stop - sort'a"!. Whats that noise???? ha ha But, will he tell the next owner???? And who the heck is going to check the brake rotors....Bloomington Gold, maybe? Oh yeah - its a ch*vy. lol - Bill
He's got 4 bids on the auction and it's at 177.50 :eek2: OPG's got -um for 139.00 each  that's 278.00 for two!!! do I here STUPID MONEY for junk parts o No: uzzled:
Guys, You haven't looked closely at theses rotors. They are original 2-piece rotors. They have a hub assembly with the rotor part bolted to it. They are correct for all 69 and 70 GM A-bodies as well, up to a March/April 70 build date. The "rotor only" part is also available aftermarket, I don't have the company name that sells them, but I know they are available. They are also completely different from the 71-72 1-piece rotors that everyone uses on 70's , even though they are incorrect. I don't know if OPG sells 2-piece rotors, or just the 1-piece, like everyone else. Duane
