Well lets start this story by telling everyone that this is a work related accident. I work at the local go kart track. I just clocked in for the night shift and all went well until the second race of the evening. It was the last lap and as I was directing traffic into the pits a young girl around my age was traveling far too fast and did not have her foot on the brake pedal. SOO!! Instead of either slamming into the car in front of her or turning to the right to avoid both the car and me, she takes a hard left turn right into me. I didnt feel anything and it seemed very sudden. I was up ended and went face first into the concrete track. When I opened my eyes all I saw was blood stained track. A few of the other attendants helped me up and I made it to the ticket booth under my own power. I didnt lose conciousness throughout the accident. I was taken to the Hospital in what was my first ride in an ambulance. I must say the people that answered the call were excellent I was comfortable and they made me feel relaxed. Well to cut this story down I recieved 23 stitches in my right eyebrow. My sister took some pics of the damage will post them in the morning.
Scott, This is even hard to read let aolne endure. I hope you have no long term effects from the accident.
Ouch! Scott, that's awful! I hope that chick gets some driver's ed before going behind the wheel of a car  Was she blonde? p
OUCH! :eek2: Gotta watch out for those crazy women drivers! Sounds like a lot of heavy duty road rash, and that usually only come from a motorcycle spill. Do hope you mend really quick. Take care of yourself and hope you're up and about real soon. :TU: Jim
Happened to a friend of mine a few years ago when he worked at the local track, except he was standing on the tire barriers and a girl slammed into him. He fell into the kart, not onto that pavement. I know how you feel - I've been face first into pavement many, many times.
I have pictures but they need to be resized who wants first dibs and seeing the damage before everyone else??
Scott, Sorry to hear that, hope you are feeling better. Not all of us chick drivers are THAT bad... LOL I'll resize the pictures for you. Email them to draena710@comcast.net Beth
Scott, Very sorry to hear that. Noiw you can tell that girl should not be on the road! Hope you feel better. Anthony :beer
