Late last week I got my '76 block back from the machine shop after being bored .030" over, and having new brass freeze plugs and double grooved cam bearings installed. Just today I picked up my crank, rods, pistons, balancer and flexplate. They put the pistons on the rods, and balanced the rotating assembly. I also have my plasma-moly file fit rings in hand, so I can start the process of fitting them this week! I can't wait to get this baby up and running! Those chevy boys are gunna love this! hehehe :Brow: :Brow: :beer Here are some pics so far Pic 1 - Engine partially masked for paint
Pic 3 - Engine in Paint - Even though it's a 455, I wanted to get something close to the Nailhead blueish-green. I used this High-Temp paint I found at the parts store, it was called "Detroit Diesel Alpine Green"
