Tried to get my trans in last night. with my trans bolted to the engine I had about .500 that i needed to pull the converter to the flexplate. I pulled the converter and measured the height from the hub to mtg pads turned out to be 5.960. It is supposed to be 6.125. the difference in converters isnt enough to get the .125 clearance that i need. Any suggestions would be great 455 engine, new sfi flexplate from ta,rebulit trans. sent converter back today. will be mocking it up with a chev converter tonite and see how much I gained. thanks
