    Hi everyone,

It figures, whenever I start planning a new project for my 71 Buick Skylark something else surprises me. I noticed the other day that a small pool of transmission fluid was under the pan on the garage floor. I went out and bought some transmission sealer and conditioner and filled the fluid back up to level (it was down a quarter) and then drove the Buick for a while. The next day only a little drip, day after, another small pool (although smaller). The leak is coming from the rear of the transmission pan (towards the back end of the car) and the car only has 45,000 original miles and is never beat on. I'm obviously going to have to change the transmission pan seal - I would imagine I should change the transmission filter as well since I'll have access. What is the torque range that I should tighten the bolts on the pan when putting it back on and any other tips I should be aware of?
