Transmission Long-Term Storage

I have removed my TH400 and plan on storing it in my garage for several years. Besides putting in fresh fluid, is there anything else I should do to help preserve it?

 

Fresh Fluid is a great idea, but I'd be more concerned with keeping it up off the floor, plugging the tailshaft, and pulling the pan down the road to remove the sludgey old ('new') fluid LOL

 

yep..plug up every hole....oil full ....and also once in a while tilt it around every which way...
