I have a 1968 Skylark Custom. The engine is a 350-stock and the transmission is the stock two speed. The transmission is not going into gear anymore after setting for a couple of years. It was running fine when the car was used. It did not break down any thing like that. I am now getting ready to rebuild the car. My question is to rebuild the two speed or install a newer transmission that is a three or four speed, and how difficult that would be. Also, the cost of each. The engine would be rebuilt basically stock so I don't need a high performance transmission. Just a daily driver. Thank you for any help given.
