Needed a longer dip stick to go with my SRE pan, Jim Nichols suggest using a tubing cutter and trim the tube, what a great idea!! I never would have thought of that, I was going to look for a longer dip stick. Anywho, I made three cuts and snuck up on the full mark, the “Full” mark now represents six quarts including the filter, instead of five like stock.
Mark, I did it a while back with a small block Ford. I am surprised you had to cut it down that much!
