Sean from Paintworks delivered my GS today. The car actually had decent driver paint + no rust when I bought it. It was never blocked right, the parts were never aligned right, the seams behind the window were not done right. It looks GREAT now! I have to put it back together. All the SS has been straightened + polished. I still need a top because the moron who owned it left the top down for the whole 5 years he owned it! 1st business is to put the repro WG's + polyglass tires on. While the wheels are off, I'll do the moldings + dust around under there. It looks naked with no SS or chrome. Some pics...
Cant wait too see pics and how it came out for you . It has been a few years now since I have wanted to put some new paint on mine. Just have a tuff time trusting someone with my baby . I am in Revere Ma. Where are you from ? Chris
I'm in Seekonk near Providence. Paintworks is in Dover NH, if you look on the site there are some pics. I'll try to fix pic prob tomorrow.
I will check out their website thanks . I noticed some really nice cars in your signature. My friend has a 1969 442 convertible and a 1972 W30 442 , Also my buddy has a 1970 GS455 convertible he bought from his Aunt in 1972
Congrats Frank ! I can help you with photos if you like , just let me know . DL Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wow Frank!! That's gonna be a show stopper!! Absolutely stunning!! :beers2::beers2: Now get to work putting it together. Be sure and post updated pictures as you move along. We want to see the progress
Thanks guys! The thing about black...you really can't see how nice it is in pics. That's why cover cars like on HMM are NEVER black, and you rarely see black new cars on TV ads. T-3's + more ss are on today's list.
X2 Sure looks "wet". I assume it is base/clear, what brand was used? Already "color" sanded and buffed?
