Trouble starting and restarting

I have a little problem that I cope with easily but I'd like to fix it if I can.

When I changed over to an aluminum intake, I also bought the Edelbrock divorced choke coil to use with my Q-Jet. I was always having trouble starting the car so I thought maybe it's a vacuum leak or the choke wasn't set up correctly. I have been messing with the choke, idle screws and air/fuel screws quite a bit but I still have to use the throttle to keep the car running from a cold start. And, after I run the car for a while then let it sit for an hour or two, it still won't start right up. After I get it running for about a minute, it will run and idle just fine.

    So is my problem:
    -Probably the choke
    -Incorrect timing (I have it at 10* & 32*)
    -Fuel leaking
-Air/fuel mix (I have the screws out 3 1/2 turns)
    -float level
    -???

Okay, I pulled the carb off this morning and found the air horn gasket to be soaked with fuel. I haven't run the car since Aug. 26th.

Is this a good sign of a bent airhorn? Would that cause the hard starting?
